GeoHolidays Club -- Travel Tips on Preparing Your Vehicle for Travel

GeoHolidaysClub believes that if you decide to skip air travel and make the trip in your vehicle, it is important to prepare ahead of time. In addition to packing, you are going to need to make sure to maximize the space in the vehicle to ensure comfort not only for yourself, but if you are traveling with young children as well. Below are some tips to help you get ready for the road.

GeoHolidays Club suggests the following tips to pack the car/minivan efficiently:

1. Clean out the interior and trunk/cargo area and get rid of everything not needed on this trip. Make sure the trunk/cargo area light works. Check the emergency kit and pack it last.

2. Pack the car/van the night before you leave — it always takes longer than you think it will. This way you can actually leave first thing in the morning before everyone gets cranky.

3. Gather everything you plan to take in the garage and edit to fit. Decide where things should go based on when they are needed. Remember: last in, first out. Tuck in a separate folding luggage cart to haul gear between the car and the motel room.

 4. Fill a cooler with snacks and drinks and place within reach of the front seat so you can get to it without stopping. Signature Residence Club notes that it is also a good idea to keep a trash bag in both the front and back seat.

5. Pack plenty of clean up materials: tissues, paper towels, hand sanitizer, wipes, and plastic trash bags are also needed remind the members of GeoHolidays Club.
